Nothing makes eternity seem within reach like being in love. Valentine’s Day, Hallmark holiday or not, is a celebration of romance that we all need in this cold, February clime. And wine adds that little spice to an already delicious day. So, which wines provide the perfect accompaniment to a romantic meal? It all depends on what romance means to you. Is it foie gras and prime filet mignon in an upscale restaurant, or is it pizza on the rug in front of a roaring fire? Whichever way you choose to celebrate, it is worth spending a bit of extra effort and thought on the wine, which will make you feel a little more immortal.
