BEER HALL TO OPEN IN MEDFORD
Massachusetts beer lovers, get ready to raise your pints, mugs and steins. The Great American Beer Hall, a huge new craft beer venue will be opening in Medford later this year. Owned primarily by local brothers Brian and Mark Zarthar, the new venue is being built in place of an old tow yard at 142 Mystic Ave. At 17,000 square feet, the beer hall’s indoor/outdoor, multi-level layout is inspired by the city’s “industrial history and workmanlike attitude while simultaneously catering to a new generation of residents,” Mark Zathar stated. Besides the Great American Beer Hall’s main offering of craft beers from New England and beyond, visitors will also find a beverage menu of cocktails, wine, seltzers, and non-alcoholic beverages. Food will also be available at the beer hall with an in-house restaurant offering burgers, pizza and other classic American fare. Guests will also be able to sit in a 4,800-square-foot outdoor beer garden or on the mezzanine levels around the facility to enjoy sports and entertainment on the big screen. Live music will be a focal point. Reportedly, there will be a pickleball court outside.
