CRYING OVER SPILT WHISKY

They say there’s no sense crying over spilt milk. But when a massive quantity of whisky is accidentally poured down the drain, it’s enough to make you tear up a little. A mix-up at a Chivas Brothers bottling plant in Dumbarton, Scotland, resulted in thousands of liters of their whisky being literally flushed away. The blunder apparently happened during the night shift while equipment was being cleaned. Instead of draining away waste water, the workers on duty somehow flushed out thousands of liters of bulk whisky. The smell was so strong that sewage workers reported it. Fortunately, no spirit was released into the River Leven or any other local water source. You can bet that some serious tears were shed over this mess up. And a few heads probably rolled.
