VALLEY OF THE MOON 2OO9 CUVÉE DE LA LUNA and SONOMA COUNTY ZINFANDEL
 – The Cuvée de la Luna is a Bordeaux-inspired blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 5% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc.  Aged 24 months in small French, Hungarian and American oak barrels, it has aromas of black cherry, black plum, tobacco and cedar.  Suggested retail is $3O.  The Sonoma Zinfandel, aged 18 months in small oak barrels, has tiny amounts of estate Petite Sirah and Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel blended in.  Raspberry and blueberry aromas are supported by spice and bay laurel complexity.  Suggested retail is $16.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
