2OO8 PINOT NOIR
Sourced from single vineyards grapes in the Russian River Valley, this Pinot Noir has aromas of blueberry, red currant, lavender, and vanilla.  Medium-bodied red currant and cherry flavors are accented by a rich note of cedar.  A significant percentage of whole berries was included at fermentation.  Gently pressed off the skins, the young wine was then aged in newer small French oak barrels for eleven months.  A tiny percentage of Syrah was included in the final blend for additional complexity.  Suggested retail is $18.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
