VALLEY OF THE MOON 2OO7 CUVÉE DE LA LUNA
This Bordeaux-inspired blend is comprised of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 7% Malbec, and 5% Cabernet Franc.  The barrels in which the wine aged for 24 months also imparted distinctive nuances – cedar character from French oak, vanilla and coconut character from American oak, and chocolate and baking spice character from Hungarian oak.  The wine has concentrated aromas of black cherry, cedar and tobacco.  Flavors of black cherry and red currant are accented by bittersweet chocolate and spice notes.
