THE BOSS HOG V: THE SPIRIT OF MAUVE

The fifth edition of Boss Hog from WhistlePig Distillery is a 13-year-old straight rye whiskey finished in Calvados casks in honor of Mauve’s (the distillery pig who died recently) “undying love of apples”. Aromas of mulled cider, candied ginger and vanilla with maple syrup, pear, dark chocolate and spice on the palate and charred oak and caramel on the long finish. Each bottle features a handcrafted Danforth pewter stopper in the shape of Mauve and a casket-inspired gift box. Suggested retail is $5OO. AVAILABLE FROM Horizon Beverage Company and Ruby Wines.
