9O+ CELLARS

There are three new wines available: Lot 158 Beaujolais, Lot 159 Chénas and Lot 16O Bourgogne. The Beaujolais is made from the Gamay grape grown in the northern part of the region. It is a smoothly textured red wine with flavors of fresh strawberries, blueberries and subtle wildflowers. Suggested retail is $1O. The Chénas is balanced and fresh with an earthy intensity and delicate, floral aromas. Chénas is one of ten crus of Beaujolais known for producing distinctive red wines made from the Gamay grape. Suggested retail is $17. The Bourgogne is made from a fine producer in Nuit Saint Georges known for growing and making wines at the Village and Premier Cru level. All of the grapes are grown in the Cote d’Or. Vinification is done in the Burgundian tradition of open tanks for 1O-15 days with regular pigage, or punch downs. The finished wines are lightly pressed and mature in neutral barrel for 8 months. The wine is fragrant with red berry and floral aromas followed by a delicate but long finish. Fresh red cherries and plums with notes of violets. Suggested retail is $25. AVAILABLE FROM Hub Wine Corporation.
