NEW TREND ALERT THE OFFICE BEER MACHINE

SOMETIMES A TREND comes along that makes you wonder how you ever got along without it.  Case in point: machines that dispense alcoholic beverages.  First there were vending machines filled with single serve bottles of Champagne, a brilliant idea.  Now Anheuser-Busch is rolling out beer vending machines it’s dubbed the “Office Bud-e”, glass-faced refrigerators that can be stocked with up to 18O of the brand’s beers, dispensed with the push of a button-and your money, of course.  The machine works with sensor springs and Wi-Fi to monitor in real-time the stock inside the refrigerator.  When inventory runs low it sends an alert that it’s time to restock.  It can be filled with Bud Light, Budweiser, Shock Top, Goose Island, Blue Point, and Golden Road.  As offices increasingly host “happy hours” as well as company parties on-site this option seems to have staying power, not to mention appeal.  The machines are currently available in New York and Chicago.  Productivity may not increase but morale certainly will!
