Every year in September, Old Forester releases an expression of its bourbon to commemorate the birthday of George Garvin Brown, the founder of Brown-Forman and Old Forester Bourbon. and 2O11 marks the tenth limited-edition release.  Handcrafted by Master Distiller Chris Morris, the bourbon is vintage-dated.  Its decanter-style glass bottle is a throwback to the late 18OOs when Old Forester was first produced.  This is the only bourbon still in existence today that was produced before, during and after Prohibition by its original distiller.  Bottled at 98 proof, suggested retail is $49.99.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
