INFINIUM 2O11

INFINIUM 2O11
This crisp champagne-like beer is the result of a collaboration between Samuel Adams’ Jim Koch and Dr. Josef Schrädler, Managing Director of Germany’s Weihenstephan Brewery, which was founded by Benedictine monks in 1O4O.  Working together for almost two years, the brewers perfected a new beer style that explores unique brewing techniques within the boundaries of Reinheitsgebot, the historic German beer purity law that states all beer must be brewed using only four ingredients: malt, hops, water, and yeast.  The brew pours out a deep golden color with fine bubbles and has a fruity aroma.  Its crisp acidity gives it a dryness and tartness on the palate that is balanced with a smooth malt body.  Available for a limited period.  Packaged in 75Oml cork-finished bottles, suggested retail is $19.99.  Available from Atlas Distributing, Burke Distributing, Commercial Distributing, L. Knife & Son and Merrimack Valley Distributing.
