This artisanal digestive liqueur is the newest US addition to the Bitter Truth portfolio that includes SloeBerry BlueGin, Celery, Old Time Aromatic, Orange, Lemon, Jerry Thomas` Own Decanter Bitters, as well as the recently released Creole Bitters.  Rooted in the traditions of both classic sweet vermouths and alpine digestive tonics, this liqueur offers a complex new flavor; it is simultaneously velvety smooth and clean, aromatic and herbaceous.  It has the caramel sweetness of port and the bitter flavors of a classic Italian amaro.  It suggests herbal aromas of mint, myrrh, sage and gentian as well as flavors of rhubarb and lemon.  Suggested retail is $32.  Available from Classic Wine Imports.
