SHIPYARD BREWING DOUBLE OLD THUMPER and BREWER’S BROWN ALE

SHIPYARD BREWING DOUBLE OLD THUMPER and BREWER’S BROWN ALE
Created by Master Brewer Alan Pugsley, the Double Old Thumper has a deep copper hue and spicy hop aroma with a complex malty finish featuring a dry Simcoe hop bite.  Considered to be the big brother of Old Thumper Extra Special Ale, it is 11.2% ABV.  In homage to Old Thumper, the package features an illustration of two of the famous Ringwood boars heads.  The Brewer’s Brown Ale is a full-bodied brew made with 2-Row British Pale Ale, Crystal, Roasted Barley, Chocolate and Torrified Wheat malts, and English Challenger, Styrian Goldings and East Kent Goldings hops.  It has a smoky taste up front and a smooth, full body finishing with a crisp hop bite at the back.  The Old Thumper comes in 22-ounce bottles and on draft and the Brown Ale comes in 6-packs, 12-packs and on draft.  Both are available year-round from Atlas Distributing, Burke Distributing, Colonial Wholesale, Commercial Distributing, and Merrimack Valley Distributing.
