In celebration of the 16Oth birthday of its founder, Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel, the Jack Daniel Distillery is releasing a special commemorative bottle to mark the historic occasion.  Daniel was born in September 185O, but no one knows the exact date because records were lost to either fire or the passage of time.  Jack Daniel registered his distillery with the federal government in 1866, making it the oldest registered distillery in the US.  The limited edition release is part of a month-long celebration to honor the founder.  The square, black bottle with red accents and smoke grey metallic foil will feature a neck tag with a reference number so purchasers can register their bottle on JackDaniels.com.  Suggested retail is $29.99 for the 75Oml.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
