TRURO VINEYARDS OPENS STATE of the ART WINE MAKING FACILITY

Truro Vineyards, one of the largest wineries in Massachusetts and Cape Cod’s only traditional European Grape Growing vineyard, announced that its new winery, barrel and storage rooms – under construction since the fall of 2OO7 – are now open to the public.
Dave Roberts, patriarch and proprietor of the family owned and operated vineyard, says “it’s all about the wine. We have created a wonderful wine country experience right here on Cape Cod that will be enhanced by our new building, allowing us to continue to make better wines year after year and long into the future.”
The new addition to the winery employs several green building principles with the following features; high R-value enclosure assemblies, low-embodied energy structural system, recycled content high durability siding, and high efficiency lighting and hvac systems. The building is an expression of Truro Vineyards’ commitment to sustainability.
The project was designed by S.M. Parsons Architect Inc. The construction manager is A.F. Hultin & Co. Inc. Stuart Parsons and Art Hultin worked closely with the vineyard team to successfully accomplish the requirements of the winery.
