SUTTER HOME FAMILY VINEYARDS
SUTTER HOME FAMILY VINEYARDS has launched the 2O12 Capsules for Hope program as part of its ongoing Sutter Home for Hope initiative. One of the first wine companies to make a commitment to breast cancer awareness, Sutter Home for Hope was started in 2OO1, after one of the company’s owners, Vera Trinchero Torres, was diagnosed with the disease. Still an owner of the family-run business, Vera is a breast cancer survivor and highly dedicated to the cause. In the past 11 years, Sutter Home has remained committed, donating more than $8OO,OOO towards the fight against breast cancer. Capsules for Hope will begin in August and continue through December 31. For every top quality seal from any Sutter Home bottle of wine the winery receives from consumers, the company will donate $1 to City of Hope, up to $1OO,OOO. City of Hope is a leading research, treatment and education center for cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Consumers who purchase varietals packaged in a screw-cap closure may send in the receipt as a substitute for the capsule seal. Postage-paid envelopes will be available on display at retail. This year, the brand’s Facebook page will also feature a sweepstakes program beginning October 1 encouraging users to “Like” Sutter Home and win limited Sutter Home for Hope jerseys. From October 1 through December 31, fans can also post photos to honor survivors, or in memory of loved ones who have lost their battle with breast cancer. For each photo uploaded Sutter Home will donate a $1 to City of Hope, towards the $1OO,OOO Capsules for Hope program goal. Sutter Home will collect the photos and create a board of honor on Pinterest in addition to featuring them in the Sutter Home blog. For more information visit sutterhomeforhope.com.
