BEER TREND TO WATCH: NANO-BREWING
For the last few years craft brewing has been the darling of the beer industry. One of the traits that sets a craft brewer apart is the micro element; creating quality brews while staying small. But now there’s an even smaller segment growing within the craft industry: nano-breweries. Growing demand for ever smaller, ever more local beer is opening new opportunities for homebrewers to test the market. Realistically, it takes a substantial six-figure investment to start up a microbrewery. This sum is often far too high for most people who simply brew as a hobby. But many of those people would like to brew professionally on a small scale. The nano trend makes this much more attainable and costs much, much less. This new way to try going pro is why brew masters are opening nano-breweries across America in growing numbers and brewing up some creative and unique nano batch offerings.
