VALLEY OF THE MOON 2OO9 SYRAH
Made with grapes sourced from both the Russian River and Sonoma Valleys, this Syrah was aged in small oak barrels for 18 months.  Deep purple/black in color, it has aromas of blackberry, licorice, bittersweet chocolate, and Italian herbs.  The flavors are a mouth-filling blend of blackberry, blueberry, red-cherry, and toasty oak.  Suggested retail is $16.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
