WILD TURKEY 81 RYE – Crafted by Wild Turkey’s Associate Master Distiller Eddie Russell, this is the oldest-aged major Rye whiskey in its category.  The smooth taste and smokiness of the rye come from its natural aging process in American oak barrels with the deepest number 4 or “alligator” char.  The final product is a mingling of whiskies aged 4 and 5 years.  Bottled at 81 proof, it has big spicy vanilla notes, hints of rye toast and a light smoky taste.  Suggested retail is $22.99 for a 75Oml.  Available from United Liquors.
