ALL THE BETTER TO SEE YOU WITH!
Resveratrol may well be the closest thing we’ll ever find to the Fountain of Youth. Now, a recent study published in the american journal of pathology has reported that, in addition to its other age-defying properties, resveratrol may be able to help ward off serious eye problems. According to the researchers, resveratrol has been found to be responsible for keeping a variety of severe eye problems at bay. The study was conducted on mice by a team of researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Giving the substance to mice with damaged eyes appeared to inhibit the abnormal growth of blood vessels, a condition similar to macular degeneration in humans. However, it is a large leap to actually testing this on humans. The researchers took their cue from the age defying properties of resveratrol, believing that the compound may help delay and control eye aging. Resveratrol can be consumed orally as supplements and is also found naturally in red wine, grape berries, peanuts, blueberries, and a host of other plants.
