Ray of Hope
As part of its ongoing to commitment to fighting breast cancer, the Horizon West sales team of Horizon Beverage Co. has donate the money for every case of Five Rivers wine sold in Western Massachusetts during September and October to “The Rays of Hope” at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. To help raise money and promote awareness, Horizon planned a Five Rivers wine dinner in September. Peter Rosskothen, owner of The Log Cabin in Holyoke, hosted the event and 1OO% of the profits from the evening were also donated to The Rays of Hope. A total of 48O tickets were sold. Along with Peter’s donation, the total from the event was over $95OO. The Horizon West sales team sold a total of 361 cases of Five Rivers in the 2 months, nearly triple last year’s number, for another $4332 donation – so the total donation was over $13,8OO. Over 3O liquor stores featured Five Rivers on display, with POS telling consumers about the fundfraising effort. The Rays of Hope is located at Baystate Medical Center on Chestnut Street in Springfield. All donations will be used to benefit breast cancer research and to soupport breast cancer survivors.
