HOW MUCH for a PINT?
SO MUCH
FOR THE DAYS of
dollar drafts. Faced with rapidly escalating production
costs, the prices of beer are creeping upwards, much to the
dismay of brewers throughout the world. Demand for corn to
convert into biodiesel has farmers ignoring their
less-lucrative barley crops. As a result, low barley
production has forced a 79% price increase in almost a year.
And the demand for steel and glass is also causing prices to
rise. If this keeps up it’ll soon cost the same for a Bud as
for a glass of bubbly.
