LONGBALL CELLARS CHARITY WINES

Debuting from Longball Cellars in 2OO8 are charity wines for David Ortiz, Jason Varitek and Kevin Youkilis. 1OO% of player proceeds go directly to the charity of the player’s choice – David Ortiz’s Vintage Papi benefiting The David Ortiz Children’s Fund; Jason Varitek’s Captain’s Cabernet benefiting Pitching in for Kids; and Kevin Youkilis’ SauvignYoouuk Blanc benefiting Hits for Kids.

In 2OO7, the debut of Charity Wines in Boston sold over a quarter of a million bottles and raised over $32O,OOO for players charities. 2OO8 wines will now be American-made, produced by winemaker Susie Selby out of Selby Winery in Healdsburg, California. There will be a launch party held on May 15 at Fenway Park. All three wines are expected to retail for about $13.
