PRETTY THINGS CLOSES ITS DOORS

THIS IS NOT pretty news at all. In a shocking move, Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project founders Dann Paquette and Martha Holley-Paquette recently announced that they were bringing their much-beloved endeavor to a close. The news came as a big surprise to both the industry and consumers alike. Known for their diverse beer offerings and quirky labels on their signature 22-ounce bottles, they had amassed something akin to a cult following over the last seven years. It’s unclear why Pretty Things shut down. The statement on the website says, “Brewing our beers has been a great labor and a great joy. But best of all we shared it with so many great beer drinkers. It really feels like we met you all . . . After seven years it’s time to draw the curtains and head off to a new adventure. A poorly drawn grain of barley called Jack D’Or
made this whole thing possible. He’ll be coming with us.” Perhaps we’ll be seeing the mustached mascot in the future again.
