THE USBG has named Ran Duan of The Baldwin Bar at Sichuan Garden in Woburn as the national finalist of the fifth annual USBG Legacy Cocktail Showcase in Miami Beach sponsored by Bacardí rum. Duan will receive an all-expense paid trip to Sydney, Australia, and the opportunity to present his cocktail, Father’s Advice, as the US representative in the Bacardí Global Legacy Cocktail Competition with bartenders from 36 countries. Duan won in Miami from a field of nine national semi-finalists from across the country. This year’s competition was judged by Chad Michael George, President of the Colorado chapter of the USBG; Jim Meehan, cocktail expert and author; Naomi Levy, 2O14 National Legacy Cocktail Winner; Willie Ramos, Bacardí Senior Brand Master; and Juan Coronado, Bacardí Senior Brand Ambassador.
