BEER FLAVORED COFFEE . . . THE NEXT BIG THING?

LEAVE IT to Starbucks to come up with a beer-flavored coffee. Dark Barrel Latte, made with a syrup that reportedly tastes like a stout, is the company’s latest venture. The caffeinated concoction (that has no actual alcohol in it) is topped with whipped cream and dark caramel sauce. According to reports from those who have sampled it, the latte is remarkably like a stout. It’s only available in select test markets at the moment but reviews range from excellent to suspicious to terrible. The plan is to go to market in the near future so you should be able to judge for yourself whether you like to sip coffee in the morning that is reminiscent of a pint of stout.
