SAMUEL ADAMS – There are several seasonal releases from the brewer: Double Bock, Escape Route and the Spring Brews Variety Pack.  One of the original “big beers” first brewed back in 1988, the Double Bock is brewed with a half-pound of malt in each bottle.  The strong malt and caramel character create a rich, full-bodied lager with a deep mahogany color and smooth flavor.  Available in 22-ounce bottles.  An unfiltered Kölsch, the Escape Route is a take on the classic hybrid style from Cologne Germany, which combines the subtle fruit notes of an ale with the smooth crispness of a lager.  The Spring Brews Variety Pack will include the Boston Lager, Cold Snap, Escape Route, Maple Pecan Porter, Whitewater IPA and Irish Red.  Available through March from Atlas Distributing, Burke Distributing, Commercial Distributing, L.Knife & Son, and Merrimack Valley Distributing.
