BERKSHIRE MOUNTAIN DISTILLERS AND CRAFT BREWER PARTNERSHIPS

MASSACHUSETTS craft distillery Berkshire Mountain Distillers has partnered with a variety of domestic craft brewers to develop a series of new bourbons. Limited-edition releases are in the works with Founders Brewing of Michigan, Cigar City Brewing of Florida, Big Sky Brewing of Montana, and Hale’s Ales of Washington. The bourbons will display the name of the brewery and beer from which it was distilled. In 2O12, Berkshire Mountain Distillers partnered with the Boston Beer Company in a multi-year project to distill two beers: the brewery’s flagship brand, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, and Samuel Adams Cinder Bock. Both were triple distilled. Boston Lager is aging in once-used bourbon barrels and Cinder Bock (a strong lager with roasted and smoky flavors) in virgin barrels as well as some that Boston Beer Company’s Utopias aged in. Both are expected to be released in 2O15.
