IS THE KING’S REIGN OVER?

ANHEUSER-BUSCH long ago coined the term “King of Beers”, but a new poll says that the most popular beer with Americans is not one of A-B’s brews. According to a survey conducted by AMP Agency and Blowfish, a “hangover cure” tablet, Blue Moon is America’s favorite beer, followed by Sam Adams, and in third place is A-B’s Bud Light, It surveyed 5249 drinkers over the age of 21 from all 5O states and Washington, DC. However, Bud Light is still tops in various regions. In a state-by-state breakdown, it was the beer of choice in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, and Wyoming. Blue Moon proved especially popular in the West and along the Eastern Seaboard. The survey also found that people in Maine, Wyoming, Alaska, Delaware, and Washington, DC, drink the most. Missouri is one of five states in which residents “complain about their hangovers the most” according to the survey. Florida residents were three times more likely than the national average to drink every day, according to the survey. And beer preference is dependent on politics. Republicans chose Bud Light, Democrats favor Blue Moon and Libertarians go with Sam Adams.
