UNITED LIQUORS RECEIVES DIAGEO GOLDEN BAR AWARDS

UNITED LIQUORS has been awarded two Diageo Golden Bar Awards.  Mark Hubler, President-Open States and National Accounts, Diageo NA, and Jack Edwards, Senior Vice President-Independent Division, presented the awards at Diageo’s regional meeting in Boston this summer.  United’s Century Division received the Diageo National Smirnoff Vodka Golden Bar, as well as the Independent Division’s Golden Bar for Distributor of the Year-Spirits, positioning Century as a candidate for National Distributor of the Year-Spirits.  The Golden Bar award recognizes a single Diageo distributor for all aspects of Executional Excellence of the Smirnoff Vodka brand.  Century achieved this recognition by increasing Smirnoff depletions, significantly exceeding market goal.  The Independent Division’s Golden Bar for Distributor of the Year-Spirits recognizes superior execution across all metrics of the Diageo Spirits Portfolio; including Annual Operating Plan Attainment, marking the third consecutive year in which United achieved Diageo’s Annual Operating Plan.
