WASATCH BEER

WASATCH BEER – This Utah-based craft brewer has four beers in its portfolio: Polygamy Porter, Devastator, Ghostrider and Apricot Hefeweizen.  The dark, medium-bodied Porter has chocolate and malt flavors that fade into a slightly dry, smooth finish.  Brewed in the double bock style, the Devastator is dark amber lager with a malty body and a creamy white head.  A twist on a traditional American IPA, the Ghostrider uses super pale malted barley and wheat to keep the color very light with a citrus note and a touch of coriander.  The Apricot Hefeweizen is a traditional German-style unfiltered wheat beer brewed with a hybrid Bavarian strain of German Altbier yeast that lends flavor notes of licorice, clove, and banana.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
