KENWOOD JACK LONDON VINEYARD 2O1O ZINFANDEL – Racked in a mix of French and American oak barrels to age for 2O months, this Zinfandel has raspberry and fig aromas, as well as accents of mint, lavender and white pepper.  Fresh blackberry and raspberry flavors are backed by hints of black pepper.  Full and substantial on the palate, with well-structured tannins, this wine stays smooth and balanced through the lingering finish.  A small percentage of Syrah is added in the final blend that contributes additional structure and spice.  Suggested retail is $22.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
