MEDLOCK AMES WINES – There are four varietals in this lineup: Sauvignon Blanc, Red Blend, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.  The Sauvignon Blanc has tangy grapefruit and a freshness that gives way to a rich texture and strong citrus notes.  Suggested retail is $24.  The Red Blend smells of leather, cassis, ripe raspberry, and lavender, with nice balance and chewy tannins.  Suggested retail is $27.  The Merlot has layers of dark fruits, mocha, spices, and ripe tannins. Suggested retail is $36.  The fruit-forward Cabernet has notes of brambleberry and cassis, balanced with anise, cocoa powder and cedar.  Suggested retail is $45.  Available from Baystate Wine & Spirits.
