DIAGEO

 – The drinks company has appointed IVAN MENEZES as Chief Operating Officer.  Menezes was previously President of Diageo North America and Chairman of Diageo Asia Pacific and Diageo Latin America & Caribbean.  As COO, Menezes will lead Diageo’s operating businesses globally – adding responsibility for Europe and Africa to his current duties.  Larry Schwartz is concurrently appointed President North America from his position as President USA.  Menezes is seen as the heir apparent to Diageo CEO Paul Walsh, who is expected to leave Diageo by 2O14.
