WOODFORD RESERVE DOUBLE OAKED

-The first permanent line extension from Woodford Reserve, this bourbon is matured in two different White Oak barrels created at the distillery’s cooperage.  The first barrel is crafted from oak that was seasoned outside for nine months and is completely toasted and charred on the inside.  The second barrel has been toasted for more than twice as long as the first fill barrel and is then very lightly charred.  The bourbon has aromas of rich dark fruit, caramel, honey, chocolate, and toasted oak.  Flavors are a full-bodied mix of vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, and spices.  The finish is long and creamy with hints of honeyed apple.  Bottled at 9O.4 proof with a suggested retail price of $49.99 for a 75Oml.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
