BUFFALO TRACE EXPERIMENTAL COLLECTION
BUFFALO TRACE EXPERIMENTAL COLLECTION
The latest round of whiskies in the Experimental Collection includes two bourbons. Corn, malt and rice are the ingredients used in the Rice Bourbon Whiskey recipe, resulting in a clean aroma with the barrel notes of caramel and spice. A crisp flavor on the tongue without any heaviness or oiliness. A slight dryness near the end provides a quick finish. For the Oat Bourbon Whiskey, corn, malt and oats are the ingredients used, resulting in a pleasantly smoky nose with a rich aroma of toasted oats that offers a nice complexity. On the palate, hints of dried fig and stone fruit come through and eventually give way to an earthy finish. These barrels for both the rice and oat bourbons were filled on April 3O, 2OO2, and aged on the 7th floor of Warehouse I for 9 years and 5 months. Suggested retail is $46.35 for a 375ml bottle. Extremely limited. Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
