A TASTE OF BELGIUM

 Move over Starbucks, there’s a new café coming to town and this one serves beer. Tapping into the growing popularity of Belgian brews, Anheuser-Bush InBev has plans to launch its Belgian Beer Café concept in the US with 1O locations slated to open in the next few years. The first will be at Newark Airport. Currently, there are Belgian Beer Cafés in France, Holland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Switzerland, Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, and Japan. Some of the brands on the menu include Stella Artois, Leffe Blonde, Belle-Vue Kriek, Hoegaarden, Straffe Hendrik, and Adriaen Brouwer. The café’s food menu features typical Belgian items along with local cuisine that compliments the café theme. With mega marketing dollars to help promote them, we just might be seeing these “cafés” on every street corner in years to come.
