BRUGAL 1888 RUM
This rum from the Dominican Republic is a holiday seasonal release produced from a double distillation and a double aging process.  The casks were handcrafted or handpicked under the guidance of George Espie, The Macallan Master of Wood, and are the same type of casks that The Macallan uses to age its whiskies.  During the initial stages, the rums are aged in medium roasted American white oak casks before finishing in European oak casks previously used for sherry.  The bouquet has spicy notes with aromas of chocolate, roasted coffee beans, cinnamon and dried fruits.  The flavor is smooth and full-bodied with a finish of toffee caramel, wood and licorice.  Suggested retail is $49.99 for a 75Oml bottle.  Available from United Liquors.
