WILD TURKEY SPREADS ITS WINGS

Wild Turkey has a new home. The bourbon maker recently celebrated Kentucky’s first major distillery expansion in decades. Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear joined Wild Turkey Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and executives from brand owner Gruppo Campari at a ceremony in June in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky as the expansion was unveiled for the new $5O million distillery that will allow Wild Turkey to double its production capacity. The new 134,OOO-square-foot facility expansion makes Wild Turkey one of the largest whiskey distilleries in all of North America, capable of producing up to 11 million proof gallons annually, up from the five million proof gallons of the previous distillery. The new distillery features multiple upgrades including improved emissions controls, water recycling and a renewable fuel system. The first aged Wild Turkey from the new distill-ery will be available in 2O16.
