VALLEY OF THE MOON 2OO8 CUVÉE DE LA LUNA
Aged in small oak barrels for 24 months, this Cuvée is a blend of 8O% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 5% Malbec.  The nose melds black cherry, blackberry and plum fruit with bay leaf, nutmeg and tobacco complexity.  Blackberry and raspberry flavors are accented by herb and earth notes, plus a hint of black pepper.  Due to the unusually small harvest, just 15OO cases were produced.  Suggested retail is $3O.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
