SAMUEL ADAMS RUSTIC SAISON and EAST-WEST KÖLSCH

These are the newest additions to the Samuel Adams Summer Styles variety 12-pack.  The Rustic Saison is the brewer’s take on the traditional Belgian farmhouse ale.  Brewed with a unique strain of Belgian yeast, this golden hazy beer is made with Harrington, Metcalfe and Copeland pale malts, wheat and Bohemian pilsner malt and hopped with Hersbrucker and Tettnang Tettnanger Noble hops.  Complex yet refreshing, the Saison has distinctive floral, fruity and estery flavors layered with a citrusy hop character and a slightly sweet herbal note.  The East-West Kölsch is brewed with Harrington, Metcalfe and Copeland pale malts, wheat and Bohemian pilsner malt and hopped with Spalt Spalter & Alsatian Strisselspalt hops.  Jasmine Sambac is also used.  Complex and refreshing, this interpretation of the classic German style has a slightly fruity taste with light biscuit notes and lemon citrus from Alsatian hops.  The Jasmine Sambac imparts a delicate and floral aroma and flavor.  Suggested retail is $13.99 for the 12-pack.
