August Busch IV is stepping down as a director at Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, ending the Busch family’s formal involvement in the brewing company that bears its name. He was the chief executive of Anheuser-Busch Cos. when the Budweiser maker was acquired by InBev in 2OO8. Busch, who had sought to avoid a takeover of St. Louis-based Anheuser, was named a director of the newly formed company, which is the world’s largest beer maker by revenue. The reasons for his departure, related by a company spokesperson, were listed as “personal and health”. Busch is one of three directors who will be stepping down at Anheuser-Busch InBev as their terms expire – twso will be replaced, giving the company a total of 12 directors.
