Samuel Adams New World Tripel

This is the first release from the new Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection series of limited edition brews.  Pale gold in color, this Tripel is a big, flavorful and complex offering.  A special Belgian yeast strain adds tropical fruit and spice notes to the crisp dry ale, while Saaz hops add a subtle herbal note.  The brewers are working on additional styles to round out the collection, which will be available later this year.  The Barrel Room Collection brews are aged in Eastern European oak barrels, originally used to age brandy in Italy, imparting a subtle sweet, toasty note to each beer.  The barrels also allow a small amount of oxygen to seep in to the brew, smoothing out the flavors.  Packaged in a 75Oml bottle finished with a champagne cork, suggested retail is $9.99 per bottle.  Available from Atlas Distributing, Burke Distributing, Commercial Distributing, L.
