A NEW ULTRA ULTRA PREMIUM TEQUILA

High end tequilas are all the rage these days but this gives an entirely new meaning to the term “luxury”! A Mexican distiller has presented what it hopes will become the world’s most expensive tequila, a platinum and diamond-studded bottle of seven-year-old liquor. Hacienda La Capilla’s 1.3-litre ceramic bottle has a 2.3 kilogram layer of platinum and more than 4OOO diamonds totaling 328 carats. Hacienda La Capilla already holds the Guinness record for the most expensive tequila – a bottle sold for $225,OOO in 1996. The company hopes that their newest creation will fetch $3.5 million by  taking the bottle on a tour to various European and Middle Eastern capitals in a bid to interest potential buyers.
