It’s good to be Gallo. Gallo Family Vineyards has been awarded the title of the most powerful wine brand in the world – for a fifth consecutive year. The award was given by a panel of leading, independent industry experts who researched nearly 1O,OOO brands in the spirits and wine sector to publish a list of the 1OO most powerful brands in the world, known as The Power 1OO. In addition to being named the most powerful brand, E&J Gallo was also identified as one of 14 brands to be a “star performer” – a new award for 2O1O given to brands that have performed exceptionally well, outperforming their category and the market in general. The Power 1OO includes seven US wine brands: Gallo, Robert Mondavi, Beringer, Sutter Home, Blossom Hill, and Kendall Jackson, and six Australian brands: Yellowtail, Hardy’s Jacob’s Creek, Lindemans, Wolf Blass, and Penfolds. Spain’s Torres Wine is the only European wine brand in The Power 1OO.
