WORLDWIDE BREWING ALLIANCE

Liz Tobin has been selected as Chairman of Worldwide Brewing Alliance (WBA).  The WBA was established in 2OO3 with the objective of disseminating and exchanging good practices and information on responsible alcohol consumption, environmental sustainability, product integrity, and the impact of beer on society.  It is comprised of ten brewing trade associations from around the world, representing eighty-eight percent of the global beer production.  Tobin also holds the position of Senior Director, External Affairs at the Beer Institute in Washington, DC, serving as the Institute’s liaison with federal agencies dealing with alcohol policy, trade organizations, advocacy groups, and industry-government forums.  She replaces Dr. David Long who has retired from the brewing industry.
