W.J. Deutsch Moves into the Spirits World

W.J. Deutsch & Sons, Ltd., an importer and marketer of international wines including Yellow Tail, Georges Duboeuf and Geyser Peak, has created a spirits division to be overseen by Senior Vice President of Spirits Jean-Francois Bonneté. Deutsch will launch the division by partnering with Cognac Ferrand to exclusively represent Landy Cognac throughout the US. Promoted as the social, approachable, “affordable luxury” blended Cognac, Landy is popular with urban communities and the 21- to 34-year-old market segments. It was named a “Rising Star” brand by cheers in 2OO7. Most recently Landy received a double gold medal for its VSOP at the 2OO9 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
