GRAN CENTENARIO AZUL and ROSEANGEL

The Azul 1OO% agave Reposado tequila is rested for two months in White Oak barrels and has a clean fruit and light nose with strong hints of fresh agave.  The taste is clean and crisp – light slightly peppery and fruity.  It is made of 1OO% Highland blue agave, chosen after a life of 1O to 12 years, beyond the usual eight years for other tequilas.  The hearts of the agave are baked for up to 72 hours in traditional clay ovens.  The release will be supported by a comprehensive, integrated marketing campaign with advertising that will appear in trade and consumer publications.  Also, an extensive sampling program will begin in April.  Available in 75Oml, 1L and 1.75L bottles, retail is $19.99 per 75Oml. A silver variant will be available in May.

The Rosangel is the first-ever hibiscus-infused tequila and has a complex, perfumed nose with ripe fruit and floral notes, plus hints of vanilla. The palate holds flavors of dried fruits, which leads to a smooth and gentle finish.  Made from Reposado tequila, it rests in new French Limousin white oak barrels after it is fermented and distilled for a minimum of 1O months, after which it is blended with a small amount of older tequila reserves for character and balance.  The tequila is further rested for two months in Port barrels, which imparts a sunset pink hue and deepens the complexity of its flavor.  Finally, the liquid is infused with the natural flavor of Mexican Hibiscus flowers.  Retail is $36.99 per 75Oml.
