HEINEKEN USA JOINED with CBCF

HEINEKEN USA joined with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF), policy makers and other community officials, as the CBCF gathered for its 38th annual legislative conference, to celebrate those individuals who have actively shaped local programs that promote a positive change.
“When Heineken USA first began our relationship with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, we were focused on aligning ourselves with an organization that shared common goals and values, while being able to make an impact in the community,” said Dan Tearno, senior vice president, Heineken USA and member of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s board of directors. “After 13 years, we can now look back with pride on our ability to identify new avenues that would drive forward the concepts of leadership, health and personal responsibility in the communities where our employees and customers live and work.”
On September 24, Heineken USA joined the Congressional Black Caucus Spouses in honoring legendary musician B.B. King, noted Muhammad Ali photographer Howard Bingham, and visual artist Betye Saar during its Celebration of Leadership reception at the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
At the dinner, scholarships were awarded to students to support their pursuit of careers in the performing arts, music and related entertainment fields. Each student recognized is from a district of a Congressional Black Caucus member. Since its inception in 2OOO, this program has awarded more than $2OO,OOO in scholarships.
