ALLISON JORDAN has been named Director of Environmental Affairs at Wine Institute, a new department to oversee the sustainable winegrowing program and environmental issues. Jordan, who joined Wine Institute in 2OO4, was previously Communications Programs Manager and also Executive Director of the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, a position she will continue to hold. Jordan also represents Wine Institute as a plenary member of the California Environmental Dialogue, a group comprised of national and statewide environmental organizations, key federal, state and local environmental regulators and business groups, industries and corporations engaged in formal dialogue about improving environmental protection in the state. Previously, she was a senior associate at SureHarvest, a sustainable agriculture and natural resources consulting firm, and served as vice president and acting executive director of Resource Renewal Institute, a non-governmental environmental organization.
